When you purchase a ticket to skip the line at St. Peters Basilica you will get to visit one of the great centers of Christianity which is dedicated to St. Peter who was one of the apostles of Jesus Christ.
The Basilica is built over the tomb of St. Peter and was put in place in 320 under the rule of Emperor Constantine. The graceful building is situated on the scenic Vatican Hill and is close to other famous sights such as the Circus of Nero which was the crucifixion spot of the first apostle.
Nowadays you will find sights such as the Papal Altar which is a powerful religious symbol in the city and part of the artwork here is attributed to Donato Bramante and Michelangelo. Make sure not to miss the 17th century façade here which was designed by legendary artists Carlo Maderno as well as the colonnade of Bernini which welcomes you when you enter the building.
